Our Instructors

Ong John Teck

Mr. Ong John Teck’s Taekwon-Do journey started when he was 10 years old under Master Dang Kok Wai. By August 1985, Mr. Ong had obtained a Red Belt Black tip and had graded for 1st Dan Black Belt obtained a certificate issued by Grand Master Low Koon Lin on 17 December 1985 and had participated in several tournaments and championships.

 

Mr. Ong had graded for my 2nd Dan Black Belt by Master Khoo Hock Guan and Grand Master Low Koon Lin on December 1990 at just 18 years of age and had taken leadership posts from 1991 to 1993, as a Taekwon-Do Club President in his polytechnic and had organized a tournament, the Polytechnic Invitational Tournament Polytechnic Ungku Omar on 6 to 7 May 1995, in that capacity. Mr. Ong was also actively participating in tournaments, instructor and umpire courses throughout that period.

 

Mr. Ong was graded for 3rd Dan black belt by Master Sabree Saleh on 17 August 1996. Mr. Ong continued very active participation in Taekwon-Do and was elected as Taekwon-do club President in his university. At the same time, Mr. Ong was also teaching Taekwon-Do in University on weekends. Mr. Ong organised the University Technology Malaysia Inter-university Tournament on 24 to 25 August 1996 as the organising Chairman.

 

After graduating from University, Mr. Ong had, since 1997 trained with and assisted Mr Michael Pang until his demise. In Singapore, Mr. Ong was also registered with Instructor’s certificate from Martial Art Control Unit by National Registration Department, Republic Of Singapore (from 26 May 2003 to 25 May 2005).

 

Mr. Ong had taken the position of President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (I.T.F.) Singapore Pte. Ltd. from 2014 to 2017.He is currently the instructor of classes at Yuhua Zone J RC and Mi Casa Condominium, and sits on the grading committee in the I.T.F. Singapore Alliance Ltd.
