I.T.F. SINGAPORE
ALLIANCE LTD.

Who we are not...
The ITFS Alliance was set up on 16 January 2016, aside from in keeping with the objects above, in memory of the late Chief Instructor Mr. Michael Pang Hin Siong, of ITF Taekwon-Do Singapore, otherwise known as ITFS. Following Mr. Pang's sudden demise on 26 December 2013, the sole proprietorship would have formed part of his estate and his currently under the care of Ms. Sharon Pang.
Unwilling to belabour Mr. Pang's family following his demise, as his family is not involved in Taekwon-Do, it was decided that a separate entity be set up to govern the administrative matters of ITF Taekwon-Do promotion in Singapore. Ms. Chen Weiling, the then President, had at her expense, set up the International Taekwon-Do Federation (I.T.F.) Singapore Pte. Ltd., a company, on an urgent basis to ensure that the art was legitimately supported by a legal entity. However, she did not hold any office on record at that time as she was a public servant.
Within 2 years of administration, and painstaking effort to sustain the organisation, it had become more than apparent that there were differing views and objectives between the Black Belts. Do make note that neither the ITFS Alliance, nor its Office Bearers make any comment about right or wrong - but we do clarify that the views are different.
Following a 4-month attempt to resolve issues amongst the Black Belts, it was decided that a singular organisational structure would not be appropriate in the circumstances.
The ITF Headquarters, having been fully apprised to the situation, has been extremely supportive and understanding, and has granted the ITFS Alliance Associate Governing Body status. As an Associate Governing Body, we are permitted to promote Taekwon-Do and apply for certificates directly to the ITF Headquarters. This has been instrumental in ensuring the inclusive spirit in promoting Taekwon-Do.
That said, we are not part of, nor connected to the International Taekwon-Do Federation (I.T.F.) Singapore Pte. Ltd., save to the extent that we are affiliated to the same International Federation. The ITFS Alliance, however, is steadfast in its views that members should promote Taekwon-Do and does not prevent any of its members to hold membership in the International Taekwon-Do Federation (I.T.F.) Singapore Pte. Ltd.
We are similarly not connected to any other organisation with a similar or like name.
In particular, we are not, and we bear no connections to the Singapore Taekwon-Do Academy, nor the Singapore Taekwon-Do Federation, save for friendly camaraderie as fellow martial artists.
We would be happy to answer any query as regards the same. We similarly disagree with allegation that there is any rivalry between any faction whatsoever, and any ill will is expressed by any individual outside of the ITFS Alliance is not mutual on the ITFS Alliance's part, for we are courteous, with integrity, persevering, self-controlling and have indomitable spirit - and we drive our black belts to achieve the same.
As a non-profit organisation, we request only one thing - that they observe the Instructor's Creed as follows:-
We are not a National Sports Association, and we strive to be a self-sustaining organisation notwithstanding.
However, in the ITFS Alliance's mind, there is ultimately no greater or lesser organisation, there are only differing means to one end.
Let us strive forward together, no matter from whence we came...

Yours in Taekwon-Do,
Chen Weiling
President
